Hailing from Costa Rica, Maiz Vargas Sandoval and his Afro-Cumbia Orchestra are a hot East Coast Latin dance band with both a traditional and modern flair. DJ Jah Red is a passionate Latin DJ currently residing in Burlington, Vermont and has held down his popular WRUV 90.1 radio show “Boricua Van” which can be heard on the air every Monday from 4 to 6 PM.  Jah Red hosts weekly Latin dance parties in downtown Burlington, Vermont and throughout the region as well.  In addition to his wealth of knowledge of Latin music, Jah Red is well versed in other Caribbean music styles from reggae to salsa.
